How Do Our Golf Lessons Work?
1. Get to Know You
- Your current golf game, playing level, and handicap (if any)
- Your golfing and athletic background (if any)
- Your previous lessons and experiences (if any)
- Your current or previous injuries (if any)
- Your current limitations in movement (if any)
- Your current golfing equipment (if any)
- Your current lifestyle and time you can devote to practicing
- Your goals and what you hope to get out of the lesson(s)
2. Evaluation
- Analysis of certain aspect(s) of your game
- Analysis of your equipment
- Video analysis of motion capture
- Use of technology (i.e. Launch Monitors)
- Diagnose area(s) for improvement
- Anatomical screening for movement capabilities
- Understanding your best learning process
3. Develop a Personalized Game Plan
- Review findings and piece together actionable solution(s)
- Demonstrate solution(s) and explain purpose
- Make necessary setup adjustments
- Train changes with rehearsals and exaggerations
- Prescribe drills, practice programs, training tools, etc. to aid in learning process
- Summarize lesson findings and game plan for further development outside of lesson
In-Person
Lessons
An in-person lesson with a coach from the Top Tier Golf team gives you an unmatched, hands-on, private teaching experience. Whether you are a beginner golfer or have been playing this great game for 30 years, we work with golfers of all playing abilities to put together a personalized approach.
In standard 1-hour private lessons, you can expect a full breakdown of your swing, plus what steps must be taken to make a more dynamic, repeatable motion.
Our coaches will walk you through the changes, demonstrate drills to help you master the new patterns, and move you and the golf club into positions to help you achieve the new desired movements. Plus, we’ll help you understand and master the ball flight you are after so you can more easily take the changes to the golf course. We’ll provide simple, easy to understand instruction to help you expedite the learning process and begin swinging the golf club more efficiently!

I recently attended a 3 day golf camp at Dobson Ranch with Joe and it was worth every penny I paid for the camp. I am 60 years old, and I have never once had a golf lesson, and I just started playing again last Fall. I was concerned that Joe would try to change my swing in 3 days, but he just tweaked me and showed me techniques that would improve my game. I would give Joe 10 stars.
So, I can officially say I’ve reached another level of golf. Backed up yesterday with a 79 today. First time ever milestone. Lots of credit to you (Santiago) and Brock / Leadbetter Academy! and hours and hours of homework. Lol

I attended the mini golf school at the Academy. My instructor was Santiago Mari. He was excellent. He helped me change my swing using my core. He explained what I needed to do very clearly and helped me feel the change with his training aids. My full swing, chipping and pitching are significantly better and I have regained my confidence. I am thrilled with what Santiago accomplished with me.
